CROSSOVER MADNESS

Around 2005 the characters of GET FUZZY and PEARLS BEFORE SWINE began having jokey crossovers, and FOX TROT even got in on the "action."

CROSSOVER MADNESS

IRON MONKEY (1993) qualifies as a charisma-crossover given that its fictional hero Iron Monkey has a sustained encounter with the real-but-still-legendary martial-arts practitioner Wong Fei Hung, albeit as a small kid. Little Wong is nevertheless a martial arts maven, thanks to the training of his father, a non-legendary figure who nevertheless gets to fight Iron Monkey three or four times.

CROSSOVER MADNESS

If ever I wanted to do a list of "worst crossovers of all time," this one would head the list.

FWIW Michael Jordan, playing a fictionalized version of himself as a celebrity, does not figure into any crossover, any more than, say, Laurel and Hardy appearing in a Scooby Doo cartoon.

CROSSOVER MADNESS

This one might top the last post, though. First, in a COMEDY COMICS strip called THE VAGABOND-- formerly a Timely costumed hero, but one converted into an average goofball-- the protagonist met an equally goofy villain, the Creeper.

Then someone decided that a KRAZY KOMICS feature about a rabbit-detective named Homer needed a shot in the arm, so they transferred the Creeper over there and retitled the feature THE CREEPER AND HOMER-- though even I am not interested as to how long that state of affairs persisted.

CROSSOVER MADNESS

This post should win my blog a prize for "Most Obscure Crossover No One Cares About." Timely's funny-animal superhero Super Rabbit first appeared in COMEDY COMICS #14, getting his powers via a magic ring (which in some manner is also the bathtub ring of the witch who gives it to him)...

But though the witch is not named, by her design it's clearly "Widjit Witch," who had her own very irregularly published feature in COMEDY COMICS and other Timely features, not to mention appearing on things like puzzle pages. Here she is in CC #13, descanting on the subject of how Adolf Hitler won a medal.

ADDENDA: The two characters later have an explicit crossover in this text story from SUPER RABBIT #2.
